My love for photography started way back in Baku, Azerbaijan, where I was born and lived in until I was 12. I didn’t own a camera back then, instead I used a small metal box as my pretend camera and would “photograph” people with it.

I have been living in the USA since 1991, currently residing in Los Angeles. I hold a BA in Communications but photography is my passion and is what I love doing.

I bought my first semi-pro camera in 2000 and stated taking pictures of anyone who would let me, learning more and more about the trait as I went. It started out as a favorite hobby and evolved into a part time job and more.

People are my favorite subjects to photograph. I think some of the best pictures come out when the person doesn’t know they are being photographed. But at the same time I also like taking carefully planned and posed photos as well. I specialize in portraits, headshots, glamour shots, couples photography. Since becoming a mom last year I’ve ventured into child and family photography as well.

I’m a big fan of natural light and that is why I shoot mostly outdoors. Photo sessions can take place at a park, a backyard, other locations around town or at a location of your choice, such as your house. Most sessions last 1 to 2 hours, though it varies on the situation and the subject. There is never a limit to how many photos I take. My photo sessions are usually a fun and painless experience for all.

After a photo session I go through the photos and edit every one of them. You will receive a mixture of color, black and white and sepia tone images. All other special requests are welcome (eg. collages, selective coloring, etc.).
